Ten Tips to Become More Productive and Happy at Work

1. Planning: This will allow you to be productive all the time. Start your day an extra 15 minutes early to do this planning every day. It doesn’t have to be extremely detailed. Just include the major items.

一、计划:这能让你一直都保持高效率。每一天早上都提前15分钟上班,用来做计划。计划不必非常详细,列出主要的事项即可。

2. Drop Unimportant Tasks: Delete the non-essential items from your to-do list. The best way to do this is to always do your most important things will fall away.

二、不重要的工作不做:从你的“任务清单”中删掉不重要的工作。最好的方法就是最重要的事情永远先做。慢慢地,那些无关紧要的事情将会奇迹般地远离你。

3. Make the Most of Your Commute: Make it positive time. Use it for reading, creative thinking, listen to audio books, etc. If you enjoy your commute, happiness will spill over into how you fell at work.

三、善用你上下班路上的时间:使之成为有用的时间。你可以在此期间进行阅读、创造性思考、读有声读物等。如果你享受这段上下班路上的时间,你就会感到工作中洋溢着快乐。

4. Choose Happiness, Humor, Enthusiasm, Gratitude, Kindness, and a Positive Outlook: Choose to enjoy your time at work. Find others who are like this and spread good cheer. Try to avoid gossip and negative chat.

四、要快乐、幽默、热情、感恩、友善并呈现积极的一面:要享受你的工作时间。寻找与你志同道合的同事并互相分享快乐。尽量远离流言蜚语和不愉快的闲聊。

5. Cultivate Compassion for Negative Coworkers: When you encounter a negative coworker, choose to stay positive and try to be a positive influence around him/her.

五、对消极的同事要心怀怜悯:当你遇到一个消极的同事,请选择保持积极的态度,并尝试成为他/她身边的积极影响者。

6. Ask for Help. Don’t be afraid to collaborate with others. Don’t wait for your company to tell you what to do. Think creatively about how you can work with others to generate a greater result.

六、寻求帮助:不要害怕与人合作。不要等待公司来安排你做什么。要主动思考自己能够与其他人一起取得伟大成就。

7. Face the Tough Stuff Head on. If there is something difficult that you must do, just bite the bullet and do it. Don’t put it off. Do it first thing in the day. Just count to three and do it! It’s like jumping into a cold pool.

七、迎难而上:如果你面临非常苦难的任务,只能咬紧牙关去做,别推迟。当天的首要任务就是处理这件事。数着一、二、三,然后去做,就像跳进冰冷的水池一样。

8. Learn from Criticism. Don’t immediately reject ciritiques from others, even if you don’t like them. Sometimes people you don’t like may be giving you more honest feedback. Listen, process, and then decide what positive action you might want to take.

八、从批评中学习。即时你不喜欢,你也不要马上拒绝别人的批评。有时你不喜欢的人可能会给你更诚实的反馈。倾听,消化,然后决定将采取什么样的积极行动。

9. Adapt. Adaptation is the number one survival skill of living organisms. Be open to change. Adapt to new things while using your experience to guide you, and you will have great success.

九、适应。适应能力是生物首要的生存技能。要做好改变的准备。若在用经验指导自己做事的时候能够适应新事物,那么你将获得巨大的成功。

10. Learning and Improving. Always be on the lookout for opportunities to learn and improve your skills. Look for good seminars and training. Borrow books from your local library, the company library, or even from your boss. Borrow some motivational audio tapes. Keep learning to continually renew your enthusiasm.

十、学习并改进。要时刻留意学习和提升自己技能的机会。参加一些好的研讨会和培训。到当地的图书馆、公司图书馆借书看,甚至从你老板那里借也成。借一些励志的录音带来听听。坚持学习从而不断保持热忱。
